70s favorite tie-dye is making a comeback this year, but with a modern twist.

The recently concluded Fashion Show runways provided a fresh take on a 70s classic - the tie-dye. Parading skirts, pants, outerwear and denim dresses sporting the hippie, flower power look, the catwalks revealed that the silhouette is no longer confined to summer shirts, and has instead evolved to creative constructions and unconventional fabrics to suit different seasons.

"The new spring tie-dyes are very modern," Elizabeth von der Goltz, Net-a-Porter global buying director, said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar. "From the more sophisticated color combinations to the more elevated fabrics and the unexpected shapes, the new tie-dye is more elevated and fashion forward."

This seems to hold true at the Fashion Shows where big names such as Collina Strata, R13 and Eckhaus Latta unveiled their artistic take on the tie-dye.
