The first-timer joined the list boasting 129 percent more inquiries on-month and an impressive 669 percent jump YoY as importers searched for models featuring W-CDMA, and running on Android 4.0 OS and dual-core Cortex-A9 processors.

Two categories, meanwhile, regained lost ground in November. Android tablet PCs received 43 percent more buyer requests for information from October and PC cases for iPhone, 278 percent.

Fun and novelty designs are sustaining power banks popularity among importers. On GlobalSources.com, the category is steadily expanding with the release of colorful and uniquely shaped designs. Power banks inquiries soared 815 percent from November 2012 and a respectable 30 percent from October 2012.
