December was a hot sourcing month for garments and fashion accessories on GlobalSources.com, with a quarter of the December 2013 top 20 consisting of new entrants.

Fashion watches topped the list of first-timers, landing sixth on the top 20 thanks to 333 percent more inquiries on-month. YoY inquiries rose 54 percent.

Following closely at eighth place is men's polo shirts. December 2013 requests for information for the category are 62 percent higher from November and jumped close to 140 percent from the same month last year.

Women's flat casual shoes, women's underwear sets and women's panties, the other newcomers, have roughly the same percentage share of December 2013 inquiries. Of the three, women’s underwear sets posted the highest on-month growth rate at 87 percent, as nylon-spandex and seamless designs sparked buyer interest in the line.
