Registering a quadruple-digit growth rate in on-month inquiries, PU leather handbags soared into the upper half GlobalSources.com's top 20 garments and accessories in June 2014.

The first-timer took hold of the 9th spot, with more than 8,600 percent rise in monthly RFIs and is the only category in the list to post a four-digit gain. The latest releases are drawing immense interest from buyers thanks to the adoption of contrasting vivid colors and embossed exotic animal skin patterns.

In terms of annual figures, perennial favorite human hair extensions performed best, gathering 769 percent increase in inquiries from the same period last year. PU leather belts also posted solid numbers, with annual RFIs jumping almost 610 percent.
