Mainland China's standard selection of SMD LEDs consists of top- and sideview models in white, warm and pure white, and RGB. The former comes mostly in 3528, 5050, 2835, 3014, 3020, 5630 and 5730 sizes, and the sideview types in 010, 020, 335 and 215. At present, topview kinds in 3528 and 5050 dominate output. Most products are RoHS-compliant.
The majority of mainland suppliers source chips from Taiwan's Genesis Photonics, Chi Mei and Opto Tech, or US providers.
Companies expect the downward trend in prices to persist in the months ahead amid declining material and component costs.
