Type 2 EV charging socket

Zhengzhou Saichuan Electronic Technology Co. Ltd offers the SC-AC060-200A-8735, a Type 2 charging socket for electric vehicles. Electrical properties are 250/480V operating voltage, 16/32A rated current, 2,000V withstand voltage, 0.5mohm maximum contact resistance and more than 1,000Mohm insulation resistance at 500VDC. Terminal temperature rise is less than 50K.

This interconnect has silver-plated copper alloy pins, UL94V-0-rated injection molded ABS and thermoplastic insulation, and silicone seals. Built for durability, it can tolerate a 1m drop and being run over by a two-ton vehicle. This socket is IP54-rated with the dust cover on and IP55-rated when inserted. With no load, it can withstand more than 10,000 mating cycles.

Analyst’s comment: Broadening adoption of electric vehicles is boosting the EV charging infrastructure market, which is forecast to reach $43.07 billion in 2026 at a CAGR of 32.65 percent from 2021, according to Daedal Research.
