Suppliers are creating stylish bags, wallets and jewelry using natural materials and nature-inspired patterns.

Tapping into the urge of many consumers to reconnect with nature, Vietnam makers of fashion accessories are incorporating natural elements in their designs.

Most are going this route by using materials from local flora and fauna. The diversity of the country's natural resources works to the industry's advantage, enabling companies to offer a wide range of bags, wallets, jewelry and other fashion accessories. Makers explore various combinations of natural materials, or pair these with synthetic inputs.

Amid rising eco-consciousness among buyers, many suppliers are opting for renewable resources or recycled materials. In bags and wallets, for instance, popular raw material options for the body include rattan, bamboo, water hyacinth and seagrass. Designs in these materials often come with wooden, rattan or leather handles.

Totes, clutches and wallets made of coconut shells are also offered. The material is also adopted in jewelry, with makers shaping these into beads, pendants and charms.

Besides using natural inputs, suppliers are showcasing nature-themed patterns or accents in their models. Prints, appliques, embroidery and beadwork often take the shape of flowers, animals and other objects in nature.
