Count, made by Yinscorp and crowdfunded via Kickstarter, is the world’s first HD 720/1080p smartphone AR projector designed for learning.
The AR projector is capable of bringing to life images, videos, online books and tutorials, games and content from mobile apps. Supporting gesture or touch control on the projected screen, kids can play AR characters, for instance have them battle others in card games, and create animations, interact with stories, color books and more. There is a growing pool of educational and informative apps to choose from for the platform used is open. The Count AR projector can also be managed easily via voice assistants Google and Siri.
Count is a portable and versatile AR smartphone projector. It can be folded into a compact size when not in use. In addition, it has a built-in table lamp, Bluetooth speaker and rotatable smartphone dock. Projecting on any surface isn’t a problem for the projector, whether it be on a wall, desk, and ceiling for astronomy lessons or even on a countertop for easy-access interactive cooking tutorials.
The 22.8x11.8x24.8in AR projector has a brightness of 230 lumens, and desktop and maximum projection sizes of 19.5 and 120in, respectively. Count is set for mass production by August and ships to its backers in December this year.
