Billed as the world's first walkie-talkie smart watch, the L8STAR from Shenzhen Wireless Century Technology Ltd operates at 400 to 470MHz and covers 2 to 5m. Designed for the outdoors, the unit works as a compass, pedometer and a temperature altitude barometer. It supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou. The gadget is fitted with a gravity sensor and a magnetometer, and adopts a 1.54in touchscreen display and an on-board antenna.

The smart watch runs on a MediaTek MT2503A CPU, and packs 128MB ROM and 32MB RAM. It is housed in stainless steel and aluminum alloy, and is paired with a 22m-wide strap. Bluetooth 3.0/4.0 is enabled.

Shenzhen Wireless counts DEXP, SimValley and Sigma among its major clients. Products are shipped under the GT STAR brand.
