The model OJB-LS712-Z battery-powered ZigBee water sensor will be presented by Shenzhen Yongchangda Electronics Co. Ltd at the Global Sources Electronics show in April. The IP65 water-resistant unit gives off a ≥65dB buzzer alarm and flashes a red light when water comes into contact with the sensors in its legs.

Designed for home automation systems, the ZigBee HA1.2-compatible unit works with IEEE802.15.4 wireless communication protocol. It measures 6.2cm in diameter and 4.5cm high, and weighs 62.4g. Power source is a 3VDC button cell battery.

Shenzhen Yongchangda is ISO 9001:2000-certified.
