Statement details ruled the runways of the recently concluded fall and winter edition of the New York Fashion Week.

Embroidery was signature detail among luxury dress selections. Such adornments are not easy replicated, lending a unique characteristic to each outfit. Naeem Khan, Reem Acra, and Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig for Marchesa were among the designers that showcased beautiful embroidered dresses.

Fine fur likewise turned heads. From fox to raccoon hair, the runway collections exuded extravagance and sophistication. A number of Dennis Basso's and Son Jung Wan's designs featured fur trimmings.

Designers went for a statement effect in arm details as well. Sleeves were bolder and came in different constructions. Run Ray's collection highlighted pleated, cap and trumpet sleeves. Michael Kors and Proenza Schouler, meanwhile, paraded clothes with sleeves that were longer than the average woman's arm.

East Asia influences were also at full display at the fashion show. Demi Park of Demoo Parkchoonmoo and Minsoo Chung of O'2nd flaunted their heritage in their collections. Indian designer Bibhu Mohapatra unveiled a China-inspired collection, which was reminiscent of Empress Dowager. The crepe dresses came in imperial red and were embellished with leather and sequin dragonflies.
