US-based footwear specialist Converse is putting a new twist to its Chuck II.
Launched this past summer, Chuck II is a modern version of the company's legendary All-Star line. But this time around, Converse is incorporating reflective prints in the canvas uppers. This low-light visibility feature allows the wearer to stand out in the dark. The shoes come in Heritage Camo and Stars prints, two of the brand's most iconic designs.
"With the Chuck II Reflective Print, we're giving our consumers a sneaker that provokes personal style while enhancing visibility in low light, enabling them to do more of what they enjoy throughout the day or night," Ryan Case, product director at Converse, said in a press release.
The updated Chuck II still has the features of the original, including the Nike Lunarlon sock liner and microsuede lining. The sneakers are available in high-top and oxford constructions.
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II Reflective Print collection hit stores last week, with the Stars version targeting an April release. Price ranges between $80 and $85.
