China makers are bringing an IMAX-like theater experience into the living room by adopting curved screens in their selections of UDH TVs. One featured model, for example, uses an arched Samsung panel said to provide an immersive viewing experience than its flat counterparts. Resolutions fall in the 3840x2160-pixel territory while contrast ratio reaches 5,000:1. Vertical and horizontal viewing angles are up to 178 degrees.

Size remains king as units above 80in become more popular. Many models also highlight an almost invisible bezel for a modern look.

Some UHD TVs have legs for support while others can be mounted on walls. Units are Wi-Fi-enabled, giving room for their smart features. 3D display support is also in demand.

Adopts curved Samsung panel

Artex Electronics Ltd's model YK-M5506 UHD TV offers a better viewing experience than traditional flat variants with its 55.4in curved screen. Adopting a Samsung panel, the unit has a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels and a contrast ratio of 1,400:1. Horizontal and vertical viewing angles are 170 degrees. The TV's display yields 16.7 million colors. For audio, it uses Dolby Digital Plus and DTS Premium Sound 5.1. It is Wi-Fi-enabled and runs on Android 4.4. MOQ is 500 units.

From Guangzhou Trumps Electronic Technology Co. Ltd, the TRS4K-1055 model is a 55in 4K smart TV that has a very thin bezel for a sleek look. The unit delivers 3840x2160 pixels at 120Hz. Brightness is 500cd/sqm and response time is 6.5m/s. Horizontal and vertical viewing angles are 178 degrees, while viewing area is 927.94x521.94mm. The model has two each for HDMI ports and AV input, and one each for TV, VGA, AV output, USB and YPbPr.

Two 10W speakers

Kontech Electronics Co. Ltd has designed the LE50E11 model, a 50in UHD TV that delivers 3840x2160 pixels. The model is fitted with two 10W speakers that promise improved audio. The model has two legs for support and features a super-slim design.

Risun Electric Information Technology Co. Ltd's RN50/55 model comes in an ultra-slim design that gives it a modern appeal. The 50in unit delivers 3840x2160 pixels at 120Hz. Contrast and aspect ratios are 5,000:1 and 16:9, respectively. Frame rate is 60Hz at 4K and 120Hz at 2K. It responds at 6.5m/s. The UHD TV has four HDMI ports and one each for USB, VGA and RF. A 55in version is also available.

It can be mounted on walls.

Shenzhen KTC Technology Group offers the 49L71F model, a UHD TV with a 49in screen and a maximum resolution of 3840x2160 pixels.
