Many makers in China utilize E0 glue in combining layers of mostly sustainable wood. Environment-friendly options include bamboo, poplar, paulownia, eucalyptus, birch and pine.

Bamboo plywood

Beijing Beipeng New Building Materials Co. Ltd
The BX-10 model from Beijing Beipeng is made of bamboo. Phenolic glue is applied in small amounts to reduce formaldehyde emission. The moduli of rupture and elasticity are ≥40 and ≥4,060MPa, respectively. Moisture content is up to 10 percent. The plywood measures 2,440×1,220mm, and can be 10, 12, 15 or 18mm thick.

Kaifeng Jintaiyang Industrial & Trading Co. Ltd
Kaifeng Jintaiyang’s PauP-07 model incorporates hardwood such as paulownia and bintangor for the face and back while the core adopts eucalyptus wood. Layers are held together by E0, E1, E2, WBP, MR or melamine glue. The FSC-certified 1,220x2,440mm plywood is 5mm thick. It suits construction, furniture and decorative crafts.

Different veneer textures

Linyi Heyi Wood Co. Ltd
Three to 15 veneer layers in different textures can be combined to form Linyi Heyi’s 1-37 model. The core is made of poplar, birch, pine, eucalyptus, fir, paulownia or a combination of various types of hardwood. Adhesive options are E0, E1, E2, MR and WBP glue. A dark brown/yellow Dynea or Stora Enso, or a brown/black China film covers the plywood’s surface. Nonslip, glossy and matte finishes are available.

Hot-pressed three times

Linyi Heyi also offers the 1-61 model that is hot-pressed three times. The plywood is applied with E0, E1, E2, MR or WBP glue.

Multifunction plywood

Linyi Kunpeng’s 1220×2440×3/6/9/12/15/18MM model can be used for packing, pallets, decorations, furniture, bedrooms, cupboards, wardrobes, partitions, paneling and ceilings. The 1,220x2,440mm or 4x8ft plywood has a thickness of 4 to 30mm. Its core utilizes hardwood such as birch, poplar or eucalyptus while the face and back adopt birch, pine, bintangor or oak. Other types of wood are also available. The model has a moisture content less than 15 percent, and density of 540 to 680kg/m³. The modulus of rupture exceeds 30MPa while the modulus of elasticity is beyond 6,000MPa.

BB/CC grade

The BB/CC-grade Plywood-001 model from Qingdao Everise integrates a poplar or combined-wood core and a bintangor, okoume, birch, lauan or poplar face and back. Sheets are merged through E0, E1, E2, WBP or melamine MR glue. The plywood measures 1,220x2,440, 1,250x2,500 or 915x2,135mm, and can be 1.6 to 30mm thick. It fits construction, furniture, decoration and packing.

Poplar or pine core

Shijiazhuang Woo’s WH14018 model features a poplar or pine core. The plywood’s surface can be plain or overlaid with melamine laminate. MR, E0, E1 or E2 glue bonds the layers together. The 1,220 or 1,830x2440mm model’s thickness is between 3 and 40mm. It has a density of 680 to 750kg/m3, 5 percent moisture and 10 percent swell rate. Bending strength is 150 or 180kg/sqcm. The product is suitable for furniture, construction, decoration and packaging.
