Ceramic chip and helical antenna modules that support GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo and QZSS and use SBAS make up the selection in mainland China. The former comes in 12x12mm, 15x15mm, 18x18mm and 25x25mm variants, and suits navigation and mobile electronics devices. The key specifications are 1,177, 1,575 or 1,602MHz frequency, 1.5 VSWR and -40 to 85 C operating temperature. Helical types are mainly for two-way radios.
In recent years, local makers have been paying attention to high sensitivity, low power dissipation and small form. Most continue to focus on 4G modules but are also keeping an eye on 5G.
