Most models adopted pure cotton and come in a loose-fit construction. Lace, frills and prints make releases eye-catching.
Makers of children's nightwear in India continue to use cotton because of the material's softness, breathability and moisture-absorbency. The fabric adopted often weighs 135 to 180gsm, and comes in a range of construction, including jersey, slub, cambric and interlock.
Most releases have a loose-fit design for enhanced ventilation and elasticated waistbands for improved comfort. Many are available in light colors that are not heavy on the eyes. Heart and floral prints are popular for girl's versions, the majority of which are adorned with lace. Boats and animal prints, meanwhile, are common for boy's sleepwear.
Some suppliers highlight product safety as well. One model below, for instance, comes with tie-dye patterns using azo-free colorants.
