To fill diverse requirements, China suppliers of solar cells offer a comprehensive selection consisting of crystalline silicon and thin-film types.

Poly- and monocrystalline units typically come in 156x156mm, with the latter also available in 125x125mm. These can be customized on request.

Products are mainly 180 or 200µm in thickness. These have nitride anti-reflective coating, silver busbars and aluminum back surface field.

Makers adopt local silicon wafers, which are in abundant supply with China being its biggest production center. The main providers are GCL-Poly, Yingli Solar, ReneSola, Sornid, LDK Solar and JinkoSolar. Aluminum is also obtained from domestic sources.

Silver paste comes mostly from foreign companies such as DuPont, Heraeus, Samsung and Giga Solar.

The cost of materials is anticipated to remain stable in 2016, and will keep prices at current levels.

Model ODA250W-30-M solar panel module from Ningbo Osda Solar Co. Ltd integrates 60 cells in 6x10 array, and is covered with a 3.2mm-thick high-transmission, low-iron tempered glass. The frame is made of anodized aluminum alloy. The junction box is IP65-rated.

The 164x99x4cm unit has 250W peak power, and 31.65V and 7.9A maximum power voltage and current. Its open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current are 37.37V and 8.45A.

Solar Leading Group Co. Ltd's model SL6P60-250W solar panel module uses class A polycrystalline cells. It has 250W maximum power and 0, +5 tolerance. The maximum power voltage and current are 30.3V and 8.09A, while the open-circuit voltage and short-circuit current are 37.4V and 8.58A.

The maximum system voltage is 1,000VDC, and maximum series fuse rating 15A. The normal operating cell temperature is 45±2 C, and that of the module -40 to 85 C. The unit is 164x99.2x4cm and 19kg. Price is $122.50.

The maker requires a minimum order of 100 units, delivered within 7 days.
