Mainstream 7 to 13in TFT-LCD modules from China makers have 800x480 to 1920x440-pixel resolution, 500:1 contrast ratio and 70-degree viewing angle. These use LED backlighting and boast anti-glare surface treatment. The life span reaches 50,000 hours.

In addition to tablet PCs and automotive displays, the target applications include laptops, and industrial control and medical equipment. Most companies ensure product compliance with RoHS guidelines.

The LED-backlit unit operates on 8 to 18VDC, 160 to 320mA. It supports PAL/NTSC auto-conversion, and has an image invert control function for up/down and left/right, and CVBS 1Vp-p video signal input at 75ohm or buyer's specified impedance.
The 165x100x5.5mm module has -20 to 55 C operating and -30 to 60 C storage temperatures. A touchscreen and an optically bonded cover glass can be added on request.
10.1in TFT-LCD module has capacitive touch panel
The RK101SU3301-CT-1 model from Rocktech Displays Ltd is a 10.1in TFT-LCD module with 1024x600-pixel resolution. It features a capacitive touch panel with an I2C interface and FT5506 controller.
The unit has a 40-pin LVDS interface and a customizable cover lens. It suits tablet PCs, home security systems, POS terminals and industrial control devices.
The minimum order is 100 units. Delivery is within 15 days.
18.5in TFT-LCD delivers 1366x768 pixels
This model RX185-C10-S 18.5in TFT-LCD module from Shenzhen Rogin Electronics Co. Ltd boasts 1366x768-pixel resolution, 16.7 million colors, 1,000cd/sqm brightness and 2,000:1 contrast ratio. It suits water-resistant TVs installed in kitchens and bathrooms.
The RoHS-compliant unit has white LED backlighting and an LVDS interface. Its life span is 60,000 hours. Dimensions are 430.4x254.6x8.15mm.
The maker requires a minimum order of 10 units. Delivery lead time is 15 days.
7in TFT-LCD module for industrial machinery
Splendid Screen Technology (HK) Ltd's 7in TFT-LCD module for industrial machines, model COG-T070ATNB, uses LED backlighting and has an RGB interface. It measures 165x100x5.7mm.
The minimum order requirement is 5,000 units. Delivery takes 60 days.
