Hair dryer allows both hands to move freely

US-based beauty and hair care products specialist Calista Tools released recently a hair dryer that allows the use of both hands to style the hair.

Dubbed as the Hands Free Fusion Dryer, the hair-styling device comes with a detachable base that doubles as a stand. This feature makes free movement of the hands possible, enabling users to hold a comb or hairbrush while blow-drying. The base also integrates an adjustable diffuser for directing the device easily to the target area.

The 1,875W hair dryer runs on a lightweight high-torque DC motor, and adopts a combination of ceramic and tourmaline ionic technology, which the company calls Smart Fusion Heat technology, for a full, smooth, and shiny hair.

The device comes with a removable handle, allowing it to be used like a traditional hair dryer. It incorporates three temperature and two speed settings, and a locking cool-shot button.

As regards safety features, the ETL-listed unit is equipped with an appliance-leakage circuit interrupter or ACLI that makes it inoperable under abnormal conditions such as immersion in water. It also has a polarized plug, meaning it will fit in a polarized outlet in only one way.

The product measures 5 ¹⁵/₁₆x14 ½in from the base and comes with a 9ft salon-length cord.
