Swon, a "connected" shower accessory, is an easy-to-manage water-saving device controllable by a mobile app. Its lets users know his or her water and energy consumption, and time spent in the shower.

The smart shower device also recommends changing bathing habits to reduce water use. It can tell the owner to lessen shower time by a certain number of minutes, for example.

Aside from keeping track of water usage, Swon incorporates home automation functions. It can be preset to tell the coffee maker to turn on, and communicate with other smart devices.

Installing the smart device is easy. Users just need to remove an existing showerhead, screw Swon in and then put back the showerhead.

The project, as of the time of this writing, is on a fundraising phase. It is quoted at $40.
