Top 20 garments & fashion accessories (July 2014): PU leather belts grow more popular

July 2014 is the fourth-straight month that PU leather belts advanced on GlobalSources.com top 20 garments and fashion accessories, moving up two notches from eighth in June.

The category ranked ninth in May and reentered the list in April at 14th place. Its July performance is marked by a more than twofold increase in on-month inquires and an impressive 3,051 percent ascent YoY.

PU leather belts continue to pique buyer interest as makers focus enhancement efforts on visual appeal. Many of the latest releases boast colorful adornments, including beads and rhinestones. Braided and embossed models are likewise drawing attention.

Human hair weaves and human hair extensions, meanwhile, remain the top 20's one-two punch, with monthly requests for information rising 26 and 65 percent, respectively. Annual growth figures are even stronger at 269 and 753 percent.
