Illuminated, nonilluminated, water-resistant and nonwater-resistant units in various sizes make up China’s tactile switches range.

China's output for tactile switches is equally divided between DIP and SMD units, which come in illuminated and nonilluminated, and water-resistant and nonresistant versions. The common sizes are 2x4mm, 3x3mm, 3x4mm, 3x6mm, 4.5x4.5mm, 6x6mm, 8x8mm, 10x10mm and 12x12mm. Units have a life span ranging from 100,000 to 1 million cycles.

Most companies offer products with CE, ENEC, RoHS, TÜV, UL and VDE approval.

Key materials such as phosphor bronze, gold, silver, nickel and thermoplastic come from local providers. Some makers also use plastic from foreign sources when specified. Input cost is expected to stay stable until year-end and will keep prices at current levels.
